Chess...

I've played chess ever since I was a child, maybe 4 year old? It is a puzzle for me, just like genetic code. I was something of a prodigy. I even met Anatoly Karpov in 1975. He was a guest at our government run school. I was 17, and had a rating nearing 2000. He watched me play a game against a future woman grand master, kanny qin. He saw me sacrifice my queen in order to gain tempo and tactical advantage. Even though the game ended in a draw, mister karpov looked at me and said in perfect mandarin... 'well played.' I can tell you, my toes were tingling on that day!

That was one of the best days of my life, yes. I was so young. And much lighter. ha ha
Andy called me urlacker the other day. I thought he meant I 'lacked' something at first, but then mister colding told him to shut up and leave. I think urlacker is a football player. I am big, but I am not an urlacker. Andy is an... I can't write that word here.

mister colding says this sunday is the super football bowl. I get to see the urlacker, and the one that throws the football I like. I like the commercial where he says 'arm like rocket.' ha ha

Day, Night... they mean nothing

I know twenty-four hours makes up a day. But it really doesn't mean anything to me. My body does not regulate itself by the rotations of the Earth. My job is the most important thing in my life. Our work at... where I work... will save hundreds of thousands of lives one day. Twenty hour shifts are my normal day. Then let me spend a few more hours on my computer in my room. I am happy with this life.

Besides, I don't like my dreams so much. Mister Colding, my only real friend... he says my dreams are because I drink too much Dr. Pepper. You try working 20 hour shifts without soda.

Heroes

I love this show. I think Hiro Nakamura is very handsome. I hope he finds his sword soon, so he can save New York! Ha ha.

The science is all sah gwa... silly, of course. As if you could use the human genome project to map specific genes and track people from around the world. You should hear Claudette (she is one of my co-workers... I hate her). She just sits in the corner when we watch Heroes, grunting whenever they say "Are you on the list?"

It is so funny.

Toes

Do you ever feel something before your brain can process it? I saw this news story on tv the other day, Gunther was watching some sports channel. It was about a football player... one of the ones that throws the ball. He had a horseshoe on his hat. He talked about the hairs on his arm standing on end when he sees the players on the other team get ready for the play. His body knows when he's going to have a big score!

I don't like sports much, but I get that. Why? Because my toes start tingling when I'm figuring something out.
